Ece is a highly motivated architect with a passion for innovative meeting her academic & practical background. Currently pursuing a Master's in Architectural Design Computing at Istanbul Technical University (GPA: 3.88), and practicing architecture as Project Department Lead at Cofiwo, a startup construction company.
Ece's academic journey continues at Istanbul Technical University as an expected High Honour graduate of Master's program in Architectural Design Computing (completion in 2024). She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Bilkent University in 2021 (Honour Student, GPA: 3.41). Prior to that, she completed the IB Diploma Programme at Bilkent Erzurum Laboratory School in 2017 with a score of 37/45. Throughout her studies, Ece was consistently recognized for her achievements, receiving High Honour and Honour Certificates. Her exceptional academic performance was further acknowledged through scholarships. She was awarded a full-scholarship by Ihsan Dogramacı Foundation for her undergraduate studies and the prestigious 2210-A National MSc/MA Scholarship Program by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye for her Master's program.
Ece has gained valuable experience working in the architectural field since 2022. Currently, she serves as an Architect, Executive Technical Assistant, and Shareholder at Cofiwo Inc. (2023 - Present). Prior to that, she honed her skills in various architectural firms: Hakan Sekmen Architecture (2023) focusing on retail design, modeling, drafting, and visualization; QNCP Group Inc. (2022 - 2023) where she broadened her experience in architectural design, detailing, drafting, and visualization on diverse projects; and ACE Architecture & Engineering Co.Ltd. (2022) where she interned on a residential BIM application project. Ece's experience extends beyond design to construction supervision, having served as a construction field supervisor at YDA Group Construction Company (2019) for the YDA Söğütözü Residences & Offices project.
Ece's technical skillset involves many proficiency in a wide range of design and drafting software, including Rhinoceros, Revit, SketchUp Pro, 3ds Max, AutoCAD, and the entire Adobe Suite. Additionally, she possesses expertise in parametric design using Grasshopper and programming languages like Javascript and Processing. Furthermore, Ece is skilled in architectural visualization tools such as Lumion, Twinmotion, Enscape, and Corona render programs.
Ece's interests reflect her intellectual curiosity and depth. She is passionate about Circularity in Construction, actively seeking ways to integrate sustainable design practices into the construction industry. Anatomical Figure Drawing is another area of interest, as she finds a strong connection between figure drawing and spatial design, using it to enhance her understanding of form and proportion. Finally, Ece is fascinated by the possibilities of Parametric Design & Generative Art, pushing the boundaries of design exploration through these innovative approaches.
